BOILER SERVICE IN EASTBOURNE

Does your boiler need servicing? A regularly serviced boiler will give you years of life and is much less likely to let you down. Poor servicing or a lack of servicing can lead to Carbon Monoxide Poisoning so it is VERY important that you don't ignore your boiler.

I can service most popular brand wall mounted gas boilers (not back boilers or floor standing boilers). Please make sure that you have the manufacturer's manual to hand or let me know well in advance so that I can get one, although this is not always possible.

Servicing your boiler usually costs £60 plus any parts if required. A few boilers can cost more if difficult to access, but I can advise you when I look at it.

I offer two types of service, a £40 check which takes about 15 minutes and is the same procedure British Gas carry out in their "service" ie:

Gas pressure check to ensure the boiler is operating at the correct gas pressure.

A flue test to ensure there are no unsafe emissions from the boiler.

Inspect your boiler and controls to make sure they are operating safely.

Visually inspect the boiler to check for corrosion and leaks.

The old fashion FULL service for £60 which takes about an hour where I cover all the points laid out in the manufacturer's literature regarding the service of the appliance. This may include removing the burner and fan in order to clean them etc. This is my standard service the one I perform most of the time.

REMEMBER - only 'Gas Safe' qualified engineers can work on gas appliances! CORGI was replaced by Gas Safe at the start of April 2009.
